Responsibilities
Providing effective support, maintenance and development to NWAS Telephone Systems (both in and out of office hours).
* Serve as senior authority on the NWAS telecommunications environment, responsible for maintenance, management of existing solutions and future developments.
* Work with industry leaders to maintain telecommunications systems that meet Trust business requirements and recommend solutions.
* Participate in national meetings concerning future developments of Ambulance Service Telephony.
* Ensure telecommunications design incorporates resilience, reliability and sustainability.
* Produce, maintain and control comprehensive system design and configuration documentation throughout the life of the solution.
* Travel in own vehicle across the North West and occasionally nationally; attend site four times a week requiring full driving licence.
* Place onto Trust’s On‑Call Rota after suitable period.
* Act as ultimate escalation point for all trust telephony issues, providing advice to ICT senior management and other infrastructure engineers.
* Drive continual improvement of telephony services using technical knowledge and experience.
Qualifications
* Ideally at least 10 years of experience maintaining, supporting and deploying contact centres; subject matter expert.
The Trust will offer training on its specific systems.
