The CFCD CBRS Grade 7 (G7) leads the Directorate’s approach to ensuring compliance with Security, Data, and Information requirements. This role involves leading responses to Briefings and departmental requests through a Briefing Hatch function, identifying and mitigating key CFCD risks, and maintaining effective controls to ensure security.
As a team leader of a small group, collaboration and close teamwork are essential in this role.
The G7 leads the team to deliver core functions including:
* Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate CFCD Risks, aligned with the DWP Risk Management Framework, providing narratives in partnership with CFCD Business areas for inclusion in the DWP Services and Fraud Risk Plan.
* Reporting risks and mitigation activities to inform and support decisions by the Performance Risk and Deployment Board and the executive team.
* Integrating risk awareness into routine business activities.
* Working closely with fraud, error, and debt (FED) Policy and CFCD Functional areas to respond effectively to requests via the CFCD Briefing Hatch, ensuring timely and robust responses.
* Evolving the Briefing Hatch function to meet increasing FOI requests and changing briefing requirements.
* Collaborating with DWP Security and Information Management to ensure compliance, managing risks, and developing improvement plans.
* Delivering security, data, and information awareness programs to promote ongoing compliance.
* Developing and managing the CFCD Business Continuity Plan within the DWP framework.
* Coordinating business continuity planning across CFCD, ensuring plans are in place and tested.
* Supporting and maintaining access to small-scale portals and establishing new processes as needed.
* Assisting with the DWP ID Badging Process to support colleagues requiring identification during visits.
Note: Due to the team's dispersed locations, frequent travel and overnight stays are required.
