Responsibilities:
* Visually and physically check all products to conform to product quality specifications and document where appropriate
* During inspection, detect any product defects which occur on a consecutive basis to be reported to Line Supervision.
* Work across all production departments as required
* Operate processing equipment where necessary
* Collect and supply product samples for quality assurance where necessary
* Carry out any cleaning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards
* Maintain GMP standards in all aspects of the role
* Support the development of “Lean Manufacturing” within the department. Make suggestions for continuous improvement and participate in implementing agreed changes
* To ensure compliance with all Company rules and regulations, and also maintain a high standard of housekeeping
* Adhere to and conforms with the required technical and quality specifications in line with the Company’s ISO 9000 quality systems
* Support the development of 5S activities to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and housekeeping.
* Follow with Company Policy on Health and Safety. Report all near miss or hazardous situations to your line manager as they occur, or raise if necessary.
* Take an interest in personal development and follow with the learning and competency frameworks relevant to the role
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* Ability to learn, understand and carry out instructions
* Be able to use initiative to propose ideas for change
* Good numeric and literacy skills
* Previous experience in similar environment
