About the Role
We are working with a leading global engineering and professional services firm to appoint a
Planning Manager
to support the delivery of complex
water capital projects
in the UK. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that project programmes are robust, compliant, and aligned with delivery objectives. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in programme management within the water or utilities sector, strong Primavera P6 capabilities, and a deep understanding of NEC contract programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of detailed project schedules using
Primavera P6 .
Perform
critical path analysis
and proactively monitor programme performance to support timely delivery.
Ensure
schedule compliance
with contract and client requirements, particularly in line with
NEC Cl31 and Cl32 submissions .
Conduct data quality reviews of programme submissions and ensure consistency across project schedules.
Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and other key stakeholders.
Contribute to progress reporting and support client engagement through clear and accurate schedule updates.
Identify and mitigate scheduling risks across project phases including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a
Planning Manager
on
water or major infrastructure projects, ideally within a consultancy or Tier 1 contractor environment.
Expert user of
Primavera P6 .
Deep understanding of
NEC contracts, including preparation and review of Cl31 and Cl32 schedules.
Strong capability in
critical path and delay analysis .
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and data integrity.
Effective communicator, confident working in multidisciplinary teams and presenting to clients.
Additional Information
This is an
Inside IR35
contract position.
Hybrid working with
2-3 days per week
required in the Warrington office.

Early August .
