Job Description:
Senior Facilities Administrator
This role is key to ensuring that reactive and planned maintenance activities are properly recorded, scheduled, and tracked.
If you're keen to oversee our Maintenance Management System and coordinate contractors while ensuring safety and compliance, this might be for you!
Who are we?
A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, providing a complete range of marine repair services with on-site engineering, electrical, paint, and fabrication workshops.
What will you do?
* Ensure all reactive maintenance issues are logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately in the CMMS, working with maintenance teams to monitor response times and resolution.
* Manage the upkeep of the CMMS, ensuring accurate data entry for assets, maintenance schedules, work orders, and service histories.
* Support planning and scheduling of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.
* Oversee contractor attendance, induction, and compliance, maintaining registers and issuing permits as needed.
* Ensure all risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, and statutory inspection records are current and accessible.
* Assist in preparing for audits related to facility safety, maintenance, and statutory compliance.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities, service reports, warranties, manuals, and asset documentation.
* Liaise with Production, HSEQ, and operational teams to align maintenance and facility priorities.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in facilities administration or coordination, preferably in heavy industry, marine, or shipyard environments.
* Strong knowledge of CMMS software or similar systems; training will be provided.
* Familiarity with UK HSE regulations relevant to industrial or marine facilities.
* Excellent attention to detail in record-keeping and compliance documentation.
* Experience coordinating external contractors and managing site access and permits.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience supporting facilities in shipyard, dockyard, or similar industrial settings.
* Knowledge of statutory inspections (LOLER, PUWER, etc.).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint.
Additional Information:
* This role is on-site.
* Flexibility may be needed for emergency maintenance or compliance deadlines.
* PPE and safety training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from experts in marine engineering, with prospects for career growth.
Benefits include:
* Minimum 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* 4% pension contribution and death in service benefit
* Life cover at 7X salary
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Employee Assistance Programme
Note: Due to security restrictions, some roles may be limited based on nationality, place of birth, or previous nationalities. All candidates must undergo BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance pre-employment.
