Construction Health & Safety and Environmental Advisor (18-month FTC)
Agratas is seeking a Construction Health & Safety and Environmental Advisor to assist the Construction Site Health and Safety Manager in ensuring that the Client Duties under CDM 2015 Regulations are fulfilled through monitoring and continuous assessment of multiple Principal Contractors working on the ABF Construction Site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out onsite Environment, Health and Safety audits, creating detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions. They will also provide competent advice to improve practices across all areas of the project and work with Principal Contractors to ensure environmental constraints are well managed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out onsite Environment, Health and Safety audits, create detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
* Provide competent advice to improve practices across all areas of the project.
* Work with Principal Contractors to ensure environmental constraints are well managed, protective measures are maintained, and proactive steps are taken to prevent future works being delayed.
* Liaise with Principal Contractors to ensure compliance with their own policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Aid the Construction Site Health and Safety Manager with the development of policies, procedures, and other documentation.
Requirements:
* Confident in presenting information and leading training/information sessions.
* Ability to assess documentation such as RAMS to assess compliance.
* Capable of reading and understanding drawings/plans relating to the development of the project.
* Ability to lead by example in terms of Health and Safety.
* Ability to foster and maintain an open working relationship across the project with multiple companies.
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S Legislation, CDM 2015 Regulations, and construction site safety practices.
* Experience in conducting accident/incident investigations and audits.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
* Membership of professional body (IOSH or IIRSM).
* Valid CSCS Card.
