As a Security CCTV Controller with ISS, you will be at the forefront of ensuring a safe and secure environment by remotely monitoring and managing security systems across a designated estate. You will play a key role in protecting property, personnel, and assets through professional and proactive surveillance operations.
Working on a rotational shift basis, you will be responsible for the oversight and control of Intruder Detection Systems (IDS), CCTV, access control, and other integrated security services, ensuring full compliance with ISS security policies and procedures.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Security Supervisor, on-site security officers, and relief staff to maintain high security standards and support the welfare of remote personnel. You will be expected to demonstrate strong situational awareness, effective decision-making, and a commitment to continuous improvement in all areas of your work.
The Role
1. Always ensure the safety and security of the site and all personnel on it.
2. Remain vigilant at all times, identifying and responding to any suspicious activity.
3. Remotely monitor and manage CCTV, IDS, access control, and other associated security systems.
4. Assist the Security Supervisor with daily operational tasks and respond effectively to incidents.
5. Log and escalate security events and system alerts accurately and promptly.
6. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, security protocol, and customer service.
7. Foster positive, professional relationships with colleagues and customers.
8. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting to site-specific requirements.
About You
9. Experience in a similar control room or security monitoring role is preferred.
10. A valid SIA license.
11. Familiarity with CCTV, IDS, and access control systems.
12. Strong communication and observational skills.
13. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
14. Willingness to work flexible and rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
15. A team player with good customer service skills.
16. New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development.
