Job Description
An experienced Head Housekeeper is required to manage a large, formal private residence in North Lincolnshire. This is a hands-on role overseeing a team of full-time housekeepers and coordinating with gardeners, maintenance staff, and contractors.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, discreet, personable, and experienced in running a similar high-end property, ensuring the house is always maintained to an exceptional standard while remaining a welcoming family home.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and supervising the housekeeping team and rotas
* Overseeing daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules
* Caring for art, antiques, fine fabrics, and furnishings
* Managing inventories, purchasing, and household administration
* Liaising with contractors, maintenance, and security
* Organising shooting parties and preparing the house for family visits
Requirements
* Proven Head Housekeeper experience in a similar private household
* Strong organisational and people-management skills
* Excellent references and a history of long-term employment
* Commitment to a long-term role
* Confident driver is essential
Package
* Full-time: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday with alternate weekends)
* Salary: £40,000+ gross per annum
* Live-in accommodation provided, rent-free (council tax paid)
* Partners welcome; dependants considered
* Start date: ASAP
