Summary
Ribblesdale School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and committed Teaching Assistant Level 3 to lead our Pupil Services provision and provide strategic oversight of an additional area of SEND support. This is a pivotal role within our inclusive support team, ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with diverse needs and committed to ensuring every child thrives.
Working closely with the SENDCo, the successful candidate will manage a skilled team responsible for the day-to-day running of Pupil Services, while also playing an active role within the provision themselves. They will ensure a calm, safe, and supportive environment for pupils with medical needs, oversee team deployment and timetabling, liaise with families, the school nurse and external professionals, and ensure all statutory documentation is regularly reviewed and compliant.
In addition, the postholder will lead on a targeted strand of SEND provision tailored to their expertise. This may include coordinating specific literacy or numeracy interventions or overseeing a broader area of need such as communication and interaction or sensory and physical support. They will work closely with the SENDCo and teaching staff to coordinate and deliver high-quality support for targeted pupils with specific needs, and will oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of small group interventions aimed at improving specific outcomes.
The successful candidate will be able to track pupil progress using data and assessment tools and use this information to inform next steps and adapt provision accordingly. They will provide personalised support to identified pupils, with a focus on raising attainment and confidence across the curriculum.
