Role- Design Engineer Salary- £60,000 per annum Type- Permanent Location- Chelmsford My client is a specialist manufacturer of Refrigeration equipment. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team near Chelmsford on a permanent basis. The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: 1 year or more of experience in a similar Design / Development Engineering position Have a background in Refrigeration with knowledge of Refrigeration systems and principles F-Gas qualified background on thermodynamics and heat transfer in the development of refrigeration products or devices. Proficiency with CAD software and more – ideally Inventor or SolidWorks, Refprop, Flownex Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Proven ability to drive Engineering development Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge The ability to understand system requirements Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written The Design Engineer role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings New product development, testing and prototyping Working on full lifecycle design projects Designing and developing new products Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as pr...
