The Boeing Returnship Program is designed for individuals looking to relaunch their professional journey after an extended STEM career break or absence from the workforce. The program provides an initial 12-week support phase, leading to a permanent position within the organization.
Major UK programs such as Apache, Chinook, C-17, P-8A, and Wedgetail are supported and delivered by Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Employing over 1,800 people, BDUK provides engineering sustainment and support for aircraft in UK armed forces, along with virtual and instructor-led training. Leveraging our established defense business in the UK and blending local expertise with our global approach, BDUK is well-positioned to support the UK’s defense and security challenges. This role requires skills and knowledge of maintenance practices within aviation. The position involves working alongside other technicians, so teamwork is essential.
Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with the aviation maintenance environment through work or training, or both. Practical experience in aircraft maintenance.
Initial Work/Role During the 12-week Placement:
Line maintenance and anti-deterioration maintenance tasks on the Apache AH-64E and Chinook aircraft.
Location:
Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop, Hampshire.
