Job Description
6. Conduct detailed stock condition surveys for Walsall Housing.
7. Accurately record data and input into asset management systems.
8. Meet survey completion targets and manage appointments efficiently.
9. Identify hazards, damp, disrepair, and structural issues.
10. Carry out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
11. Collaborate with asset and housing teams to report risks and issues.
12. Provide technical advice and documentation on property conditions.
13. Support the development of maintenance and investment strategies.
14. Stay up to date with housing legislation and compliance standards.
15. Communicate effectively with customers and resolve property-related concerns.
The Successful Applicant
16. HNC in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
17. Experience conducting stock condition surveys in residential/tenanted properties.
18. Strong knowledge of property types, construction methods, and common defects.
19. In-depth understanding of building technology, regulations, and health & safety legislation.
20. Familiarity with housing disrepair, environmental health legislation, and the Decent Homes Standard.
21. Ability to carry out HHSRS assessments and understand energy efficiency in dwellings.
22. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile working tools.
