The role: Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), providing Occupational Therapy expertise to support comprehensive assessments, care planning, and exceptional care delivery for those in our service. Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff Assist our lead to develop and manage the occupational therapy service and staff Liaise with family, carers and significant others where appropriate to ensure patient s needs are met to a high standard Perform advanced occupational therapy assessments and treatment to patients, often with diverse, complex, or multiple pathologies and presentation Actively contribute to the service s therapy team by sharing insights, exchanging information, and collaborating with colleagues. Maintain accurate and thorough records, assisting in the generation of high-quality management reports across the service. Foster and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, and members of the MDT to ensure seamless collaboration and care delivery. Support the training and development of care staff and other team members, promoting a strong foundation of Occupational Therapy principles within care practices. Design and implement personalised and group-based Occupational Therapy programs tailored to individual needs. Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights About you: As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will need: HCPC Registration Previous experience within a neurorehabilitation and respiratory settings Experience working with tracheostomy patients A compassionate, patient-centred approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire others Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
