Children's Residential Support Worker

Vetro Social Care is recruiting for Children's Residential Support Workers at a small children's residential home in Usk, with an immediate start. You will work alongside an experienced team of managers and support workers to provide excellent care for the children in the home.
Overview:
* Pay: £13.68 - £27.36 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
* Location: Usk
* Hours: 08:00 - 22:00 or 08:00 - Sleep - 08:00

Responsibilities:
* Support children and young people in daily activities and interests
* Promote independence and wellbeing of young people
* Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children
* Support children in weekend and evening activities, such as climbing, baking, or weekends at Butlins
* Protect children from health and welfare risks
* Provide emotional and practical support to young people
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
* Support and learn to minimise challenging behaviour incidents
Candidate Requirements:
* A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
* Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
* At least 6 months of experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* The right to work in the UK
