Laboratory Technician Location: Chepstow Salary: £27,000 Contract Type: Permanent Shift Pattern : Days Haystack Selection is proud to be working in partnership with this innovative company based near the Chepstow area. This is a hands on, technical role supporting quality control, testing and development activities in a clean and safety driven environment Key Responsibilities: Assist in the continuous improvement of test methods and procedures. Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety in all lab areas. Collect and process samples for approval, concessions, and COA generation. Calibrate lab equipment (e.g. scales, spectrophotometer) as required. Manage lab consumables and assist with raw material stock control. Support technical documentation creation (TDS, PDS, MSDS). Collaborate with internal departments to support customer samples and resolve non-conformances. Participate in risk assessments and maintain H&S compliance. Skills & Experience Required: Previous lab experience, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical setting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test procedures and reporting. Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus. Strong commitment to health & safety and lab cleanliness. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
