Multi-Skilled Engineer - Food Manufacturing (Driffield)
Location: Driffield, YO25 9DJ
Salary: £40,000-£48,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established food production company in Driffield. You'll be an essential part of the maintenance team, focusing on planned preventative work while also supporting reactive maintenance when needed. This position offers excellent career progression, training opportunities, and the chance to develop both electrical and mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (majority of workload)
Assist with reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Support the ongoing reliability and efficiency of production equipment
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and production teams to minimise downtime
Contribute to continuous improvement activities where appropriate
Skills & Experience:
Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 2 years' experience in production maintenance
Confident working with both electrical and mechanical systems
Experience using CMMS or similar maintenance planning tools
Proactive, adaptable and a strong team player
