Duties of a Roadside Technician:

Deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs and vehicle diagnostics

Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK

Troubleshoot issues such as flat batteries, tyre replacements, and complex fault-finding

Manage your day-to-day work independently, starting and ending your shift from home

Ensure excellent customer service and reassurance during roadside assistance

Maintain your RAC van, diagnostic tools, and uniform to a high standard

Specifications for the Roadside Technician role:

Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent

At least two years’ post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience

Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
