Overview
An independent accountancy practice is seeking to appoint an additional Accountant for their accounts team. You will be managing a portfolio of clients, working with a varied client base, predominantly consisting of owner managed businesses / SME clients. Agile, flexible and hybrid working is available.
Responsibilities
* Manage a client portfolio with a high level of client responsibility
* General accounting compliance work
* Prepare financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, including training others when required
* Work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver quality advice
* Use workflow management across the team for your portfolio
* Develop opportunities for the practice and flag to Director
* Deal with all elements of client service with support from Director for technical areas
Qualifications
* ACCA/ACA/QBE or part‑qualified/qualified with experience trained in an accountancy practice environment
* Desirable: Xero certification
* Working knowledge of automated accountancy packages (Sage, Xero and IRIS)
* Ability to train others and ensure financial statements comply with relevant accounting standards
