Gleeson Homes is recruiting for an Engineer, responsible for supporting and assisting the Regional Technical team and operating team to support the regional and Group Business plan, commercial objectives, budgets, and future growth requirements, while mentoring junior members of the team.

As an Engineer, you will:
* Provide technical/engineering support to the land/development team during feasibility studies and lead the preparation of site viability reports in line with current regulatory requirements for residential development.
* Identify the need for external consultants, agree on fees, scope of services, timescales, and deliverability.
* Manage relationships with consultants to ensure timely information flow, compliance with schedules, and adherence to National Housebuilding Council standards.
* Be aware of and act upon the commercial implications related to planning, architectural design, civil and structural engineering, geotechnical and ground remediation strategies, and statutory services including new supplies and diversions.
* Assist in tendering, setting up, and establishing on-site management companies, ensuring legal compliance with group procedures and agreements.
* Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve Building Regulations and warranty approval, and satisfactory discharge of conditions.
* Prepare key status reports and updates on KPIs related to the Technical function.
* Coordinate the appointment of utilities, including design, quotes, and agreements.
* Manage the adoption process.
* Support site teams and internal departments with engineering expertise.
* Participate in on-site technical meetings concerning procurement and approval of site infrastructure.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds relevant qualifications or has strong experience in technical design or civil engineering.
* Possesses knowledge of engineering requirements in the housebuilding industry and related legal standards.
* Has knowledge and application of highway design standards, sewers for adoption, building regulations, British Standards, and AutoCAD.
* Demonstrates good technical, legal, and financial awareness.
* Shows good organizational skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
* Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Has awareness of Type approval processes with NHBC, LABC, and SBD.
* Is numerate and literate.
* Enjoys a generous holiday entitlement of 26 days plus bank holidays.
