As the Strategic Lead for Highway Maintenance & Operation you will play a part in making positive changes, unlocking investment and grant allocations while supporting the business. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders and external partners to deliver the Council's Highways and Operational Service.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading efforts to make positive changes in highway maintenance and operations.
Unlocking investment and securing grants to support the business and infrastructure projects.
Collaborating with key stakeholders and external partners to deliver effective highway services.
Sourcing all funding streams for the Local Highway Plan strategy delivery.
Lead a multi-disciplinary group of professional engineers and technical support staff to delivery highway functions in, Street Lighting, Highway Asset Maintenance, Structures, Flood Risk, Drainage and Highways Operations
Job Requirements:
Experience in highway maintenance and operations.
Strong understanding of sourcing and securing funding for infrastructure projects.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including public authorities and external partners.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to lead and implement strategic plans.
