What you’ll be doing
1. Leading the Group’s approach and framework to internal controls management across all business areas
2. Driving the strategy and approach to meeting the internal controls requirements prescribed under the revised Corporate Governance Code
3. As a senior member of the Enterprise Risk team you will be working collectively to embed the risk and control assessment processes throughout the Group
4. Developing strong relationships across the Group to be able to offer practical support and advice in the identification, assessment and testing of key controls
5. Developing meaningful reporting to provide a clear view of the control environment
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
6. Strong and proven experience in a controls function/ role within financial services. This could be through internal/ external experience or in a dedicated controls team in 1st or 2nd Line
7. Clear understanding of industry-wide control frameworks such as SOX, ISO, COSO etc and able to demonstrate good knowledge in respect of Provision 29 requirements under the revised Corporate Governance Code
8. An ability to work independently and to really get “hands-on” but at the same time you should be comfortable to collaborate effectively with the wider team to ensure consistency of approach and to support broader deliverables
9. Exemplary communication skills ensuring that written reports etc are of the highest standard and key messages are delivered in a concise and effective way to stakeholders across the Group
10. A self- starter who doesn’t just tick the boxes but is looking for ways we can do things better and is looking to make this role your own and really add value to the Group

Working hours
Monday to Friday - hybrid role - 2/3 days in the office per week.
