Role Summary
We are advertising for two opportunities. This role is a junior (Pre-CTT) trauma fellow, working as part of the middle grade rota. Ideally, this role is aimed at junior surgeons looking to progress from core training or SHO level to specialty training level. A large part of the role will focus on trauma, including trauma lists and fracture clinics, with some elective exposure to support career progression within orthopaedics. Participation in research is encouraged to enhance knowledge and skills, with close links to the University of Exeter. The Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre (PEOC) is a center of excellence for orthopaedics and research. The role is a 12-month position, with potential extension based on performance.

You will work as part of orthopaedic subspecialty teams in trauma and elective capacities, undertaking fracture clinics, elective and trauma surgeries under supervision, and participating in on-call duties covering general orthopaedic trauma and spinal referrals out of hours. You will assist in reviewing and managing acute referrals alongside the trauma nurse practitioner team. The on-call commitment includes overnight coverage with minimal travel from the hospital.
Working Pattern: Full time, including evenings and weekends
