Location: Project Construction Site (Bridgwater, Somerset) x3 days per week AND x2 days per week remote working Status: CONTRACT INSIDE IR35 Duration: Approved until 31dec26 (renewable) Reports to: Civil Construction Team Lead Morson Edge are supporting a major player in the Energy Sector who have a contract requirement for a Civil Configuration Controller (Civil Works Scope) to join their established site based team in Bridgwater, Somerset. The Opportunity This role demands exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Your role is crucial in maintaining adherence to procedures and safety rules as the Project moves closer to the delivery of a safe and operable nuclear power station. You will play a key role in maintaining and managing the Sites configuration, ensuring everything aligns with the established management processes for your designated area. You will be the go-to person for configuration-related queries, helping to streamline the Project construction phase. Key Responsibilities You will use your expertise to ensure the seamless control of engineering documentation and adherence to industry standards: o Keeping the List of Applicable Documents up to date for your assigned area. o Processing construction change requests, to ensure the sequential update of the configuration. o Managing the site cascade of the design change process into the construction configuration. o Running data checks across your scope, investigating discrepancies with numerous project stakeholders, then leading the appropriate resolution of each topic and tracking the necessary implementation routes to establish a compliant position. o Managing interfaces between work packages on the permanent works to ensure smooth coordination. Criteria: Typically, degree/HNC/HND in a relevant science or engineering field or a strong technical background. Experience managing engineering documentation (Redline Drawings and Work Pack management etc,.). Knowledge of Configuration and Nuclear Power Plant standards. Familiarity with change management processes and requests. Excellent organisational skills. Strong communication skills, able to clearly present discrepancies found to wide reaching Multi-Disciplinary Team members for resolution. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. Strong numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
