The role we are recruiting for will be a senior client facing working on a range of audit and non-audit clients. Planning, supervising, leading on jobs and reporting directly into the lead Partner.

8. Experience of planning and supervising a range of audit and non-audit assignments
9. Ability to review files and report directly into lead partner
10. You will be required to assist with the development of junior staff within the team assisting with their learning and progression within the business
11. Able to demonstrate the ability to add value to client assignments by offering advice that helps with the development of the clients business
12. The role will require you to work at times with minimal supervision

The role will include:
18. Planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion work, along with general accounting compliance work
19. Leading smaller / medium audit engagements, which will include planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits within the allocated time
20. Developing audit programmes and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
21. Regular travel and time working at client’s premises; a willingness to travel and access to a car is essential
22. The need to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines set
23. Dealing with clients at various levels
24. Preparing accounts from incomplete records
Person Specification:
The prospective candidate will:
25. Hold or working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
26. Have proven experience of working in an Audit & Accounts team in a practice environment
27. Be a motivated individual, able to work alone or as part of a team
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
28. An analytical ability to solve problems and critically evaluate issues
29. Experience of working with both financial and non-finance people
30. Strong organization and planning skills and attention to detail
31. Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
32. Experience of working in a dynamic, fast changing environment
33. Experience of working on cross-functional teams/projects
34. Experience of using automated accounting & audit software packages, such as Sage, Xero and CCH products
35. An ability to produce high level written reports
