RINA is looking for a motivated Junior Engineer with 25 years of industry experience to join its expanding Integrated Lifecycle Support Consulting team. This dynamic and multidisciplinary group brings together experts in Integrated Logistic Support, Product Support Engineering, and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS), offering an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
AsaLifecycle SupportConsultant, you will support complex?Aerospace and?Defence programmes, including MOD engagements focused onreliability and failure modelling,cost modelling, spares forecasting, and statistical analysis. Working within a specialistandwell-established team, you will deliver end-to-end IPS initiatives and build experience across a broad range of projects on some of the most?technically?advanced?military?land, air, sea, and autonomous platforms.
This role can be based out of our?Chippenham, Southampton, Leatherhead, or Lincoln.RINA?is?a smart/hybrid?working?organisation, so living within commuter distance of the offices is not necessarily?required.
Responsibilities include:
Support the delivery ofEngineeringprogrammes to ensuresupportrequirements are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required?quality;
Perform detailed analytic studies under the direction of theIPS Managerto ensure that the support systems being developed, meet or exceed the specified Reliability,MaintenanceandSupportability requirements, recommending design changes as?appropriate;
Design and implement IPS projects including; AR&Mapportionment, Supportability Analysis (SA), Through Life Costmodelling,FMECAs, Fault Tree Analysisand Codification;
Development and manageall theElement?Plans;
Support bids &?proposals;
Provide reports on productivity and other performance indicators to theIPS Manager;
Conduct peer reviews oftheIPS Capability Groups?outputs;
Assist the IPS Manager with augmentingtheIPS capability?to?meet new and emerging market?demands;
Develop innovation initiatives to support future growth.
Profile description:
Experience and qualificationsrequired :
In addition to the belowrequirement, you will need to have at leasttwoyearspost graduatecommercial experience inan Engineering capacity, with a preferable focus on failure analysis, costmodellingor reliability modelling.You will also need to be able to engage with clients with confidenceandbuild trust and credibility.
A level in Maths or a Science;
Batchelors degree in Engineering (BEngor MEng), preferable Mechanical;
Sector experience in either Defence, Energy, Oil/Gas, Marine, Aviation or Transport would be an advantage;
Some Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) analysis experience;
Knowledge of IPS defence standards (including Def Stan 00-600, DLF (JSP886), Def Stan 00-40 series) preferable, but not pre-requisite;
Working knowledge of design engineering methods and processes (systems engineering);
Due to sensitivity of the work RINA delivers, you will either have existing Security Clearance, or MUST be a British citizen, willing to undertake the vetting process.
