We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.
Within this role, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, involved in developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests, answering emergency bells, and possibly being the first person to attend an emergency. You will work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
Salary & Hours
Salary: This position is full time. You will receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week: 7.45pm - 7.15am, 7 shifts on/7 shifts off.
There is a requirement to rotate onto days every quarter, completing a period up to 6 months on day shifts to ensure full awareness and compliance.
Day shifts: 7am‑8pm, 8am‑9pm, 9am‑10pm, 7 days a week.

Main Duties
 * Deliver nurse‑led services and prevent hospital admissions within a multi‑disciplinary team.
 * Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
 * Provide nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
 * Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision: provide evidence‑based care, seek out, listen to, and act on patient feedback to personalize care.
 * Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.

Qualifications & Experience
In addition to a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis, candidates will have:

Salary Range
£33,232 to £40,211 a year, up to £40,211 depending on experience.
