Role Purpose: The purpose of the role of Head of Marketing is to accelerate revenue growth by leading a high‑impact go‑to‑market strategy focused on customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Partnering closely with Sales and Customer Experience, the role ensures integrated, conversion‑driven marketing execution that strengthens the sales funnel, maximises commercial opportunities, and drives measurable gains in customer value and overall business performance. Main Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Commercial Growth - Define and continuously evolve the commercial marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and delivery of Wildanet’s core business objectives. Develop an integrated, omni channel marketing plan focused on high quality lead generation, conversion, retention, ARPU growth and long term customer value. Brand & Market Positioning - Strengthen and evolve the Wildanet brand to maximise competitive advantage across customer segments, industry sectors and distribution channels. Ensure brand consistency and commercial impact across all customer touchpoints, campaigns and communications. Performance Management & Delivery - Execute the marketing plan to time and budget, using data driven KPIs, commercial insights and performance dashboards to optimise investment and demonstrate ROI. Drive continuous improvement across all marketing activities, enhancing effectiveness, efficiency and market penetration. Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with the Director of Sales to enhance sales productivity, competitiveness, and conversion through targeted campaigns, tools, and insights. Collaborate with the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT), SMT and cross-functional stakeholders to shape and execute commercial strategies for acquisition, retention and revenue growth. Team Leadership & Capability Building - Build and lead a high performing marketing team, providing coaching, direction and commercial accountability. Model leadership excellence to support a culture focused on commercial performance, creativity, and customer impact. Representation & Stakeholder Engagement - Champion the marketing function across internal and external forums, representing Wildanet with commercial insight, creativity and strategic clarity. Build strong, purpose-driven relationships with Sales, CX, ExCo and external partners to ensure alignment behind core commercial outcomes. Knowledge: Marketing disciplines: proven application of the 7 Ps of Marketing in a commercial environment. Digital marketing tools, techniques and best practices. E-commerce and website marketing know-how. Understanding of the challenges faced by a challenger brand, and experience of tackling them. The UK Telco market, specifically broadband services and the role of the Altnet. Understanding of broadband and broadband adjacent products and services. Market research and analysis techniques. Skills / Attributes: Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and interpret data. High proficiency PowerPoint and other visualisation tools for creating visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations for senior management and directors. Self-motivated, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit – always looking for ways to knock down barriers and find a solution. Adaptable to business growth fluctuations and challenges. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under the pressure of stringent deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Strong leadership, coaching and team management skills. Ability to think creatively and strategically. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree attained. Marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM/CAM/MA) Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Coaching and development of individuals and team performance Development and implementation of marketing plans. Circumstances: Must be able to commute to Liskeard, Cornwall for office-based working as required and for a minimum of 3 days a week. Must be able to work effectively remotely when not office based – this means a suitable location to work with sufficient connectivity and without distraction.
