North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a motivated, multi-skilled, reliable, and flexible Electrical Craftsperson to join its Community Estates Team at Carleton Clinic. The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across diverse systems to ensure safety and functionality for patients, staff, and visitors.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will perform routine planned maintenance and repairs on building systems, plant, machinery, fixtures, and fittings. Essential qualifications include a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical discipline, with versatility to handle specialist systems such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, nurse call, water systems, heating, ventilation, and medical gas pipelines.
The role is based at Carleton Clinic within Inglewood Building, maintaining various community healthcare facilities across North Cumbria. The candidate must work independently, possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to work within teams and with the public. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with participation in an on-call rota.

Qualifications:
* C&G 2357 Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* Recognized Electrical or Multi Skilled apprenticeship
* ONC/HNC
* 18th edition wiring regs, C&G 2391 Inspection and testing
* JIB Certification
Experience:
* Post-qualification experience working independently or in a team
* Experience in planned maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
* Installation experience in lighting, power, fire alarms, nurse call, etc.
* Job planning and leadership skills
Knowledge:
* Electrical skills and regulations
* Safe systems of work, permit to work, and isolation procedures
* Heating controls, fire alarms, healthcare systems, electronics, BMS
Skills and Aptitudes:
* Record keeping, IT proficiency, communication skills
