Academic Mentor (1:1 Tuition Support)

Are you passionate about helping young people reach their potential? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated Academic Mentors to provide 1:1 support for children and young people across Northamptonshire.
As an Academic Mentor, you will deliver tailored learning sessions in a child's home, a local library, or a school, depending on each pupil's needs. Sessions range from 1 hour per week to 10 hours, offering full flexibility to fit around your schedule.
Many of the pupils referred for support have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and may have an EHCP, so experience working with individual learning plans or specialist strategies is highly valued.
Your role will involve:
Delivering personalised curriculum support in core subjects
Creating engaging, structured learning sessions
Supporting children with SEN, including autism, speech & language needs, or SEMH
Building confidence, motivation, and independence
Working collaboratively with schools, parents, and Local Authorities
We're looking for:
1. Experienced educators, SEN support staff, or specialist tutors
2. Practitioners confident working independently 1:1
3. Individuals with good curriculum knowledge and strong behaviour support skills
4. People who genuinely want to make a meaningful difference
