Overview
Senior Advisor - Future Agriculture - Environmental Land Management - 31666
The Environment Agency is committed to an inclusive workforce and to reflecting the communities we serve. ELM schemes incentivise farmers and land managers to deliver water, soil and biodiversity outcomes alongside food production.
Working with Defra and delivery partner colleagues, you will help shape and deliver incentives within the wider context of organisational responses to government reviews, aiming to support a resilient, productive agricultural sector and to realise the EA2030 strategy and government targets for water, environment and climate. This role includes influencing the design and delivery of incentives and contributing to the delivery of Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier (CSHT).
You will provide advice in meetings, manage commissions, oversee programme milestones, identify risks and resource requirements, and work with senior leaders across teams and organisations to articulate a scheme that delivers desired outcomes.
