Main duties of the job
As a Children's Domiciliary Carer, you will join our internal care team helping to deliver a first-class care service. Working in collaboration with our existing Care Team, you will deliver care to children aged 0 to 19 years, within their own homes and in the community. You will promote positive life experiences and choices and make memories with children who may have short lives.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and building strong relationships with other carers and staff within Lagans Foundation and the families to provide exceptional care at every stage. You will also promote the amazing work the charity offers through donated and commissioned care streams.
Key accountabilities
* Complete induction training
* Attend team meetings to share best practice, resolve challenges, and support team morale and building
* Complete ongoing 6-weekly supervisions
* Always remain compliant
* Mentor / buddy new staff members following probation
* Proactively source additional activities for children during term and non-term time
* Provide exceptional care, including feedback via communication channels, visit records, and necessary documentation

Job responsibilities
Role Purpose: This is a variable hours (WEEKEND Shifts only) position with Lagans Foundation's specialist care team.
The role involves providing personal care support to children aged 0-19 with complex health conditions in their homes. You will undergo comprehensive training monitored through mentorship, observation, supervision, and formal assessment to develop your confidence and professional skills.
You will work various shifts based on the needs of the children and their families, as well as the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing relationships and health outcomes of children and families
* Remaining compliant with policies, procedures, and training
* Supporting the charity’s work and fundraising activities
* Ensuring positive change and meeting key performance indicators

Administration
Carrying out administrative duties such as logging visit records, accident forms, safeguarding reports, mileage claims, and managing documentation accurately and on time. Attending team meetings and supervision, and completing all required training.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above or equivalent
* Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care
* Enhanced DBS for Child and Adult Workforce
Experience
* Experience working with children
* Experience delivering personal care
* Experience working shifts
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
