My client is a stunning hotel and wedding venue, set amidst the captivating Berkshire countryside. They are looking for a Conference and Events Host to join the team.
They host a variety of events, including conferences, meetings, training workshops, and memorable weddings. Their elegant wedding pavilion, stunning stained-glass window, and graceful ballroom create an idyllic backdrop for unforgettable celebrations, as well as the largest event space in Berkshire catering up to 500 guests.
They are seeking a Conference & Events Host to assist in running weddings and events in their stunning hotel. You will need positive energy, excellent communication skills, a passion for service excellence and be of immaculate presentation.
* Ensure that all Conference and Banqueting suites are set up in accordance with venue function requirements, ensuring the brand standards are maintained throughout.
* Evaluate and monitor standards within the Conference & Event Operation and make improvements where necessary. Supplying the highest levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back of house areas.
* Be involved in pre-event meetings for functions regarding final details.
* Meet and greet all conference organisers.
* Monitor and ensure that C&B colleagues observe the correct procedures for setting up of meeting rooms, taking orders, serving food and beverages, clearing tables and billing guests, as required.
* To be aware of stock levels of equipment ensuring the relevant departments have the necessary resources to service the business demands.
* Ensure that all conference/wedding organisers are met by a designated team member who is trained and skilled in this task.
* Work continually to improve customer feedback with the C&B and F&B department.
* Develop standards of customer care and run conference and events as per function sheets to the agreed standard, including the supervision and monitoring of the service and production of all food and drink within your departments.
* Carry out duty management shifts when required.
Skills/experience
* Excellent Maths and English
* Knowledge of Opera would be beneficial
* Microsoft office word, excel, outlook etc.
* Worked within hotel industry

* Excellent written and oral communication must be confident and articulate
* A real passion for conference and events is a must for this role
* Creative originality and new ideas highly valued
* Eye for design with high attention to detail
* Well organised - ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and targets, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
