£37,185 to £50,081 per annum
Working Style:
This position is open to Experienced and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW). The starting salary for NQSWs is £34,902 per annum, rising to £37,185 upon successful completion of the ASYE programme.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in mental health social work within our community mental health treatment teams, providing secondary mental health services through Essex Partnership University Trust (EPUT).
You will play a key role in delivering social care services and exemplifying best social work practices within the Recovery Wellbeing Community Mental Health Team. Your responsibilities include contributing to change management, supporting ECC’s transformation, and ensuring continuous improvement aligned with Key Performance Indicators under the Section 75 partnership.
The role requires flexibility, creativity, and a positive attitude, with experience working within a multidisciplinary team and in mental health settings. Excellent communication skills, proactive approach, and comfort working with diverse professionals are essential. The team includes social workers, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists, offering valuable experience for your career development.
The team is well-established and supportive, providing an environment conducive to social workers undertaking their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
About You
You should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration, with experience in mental health and multidisciplinary working. Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Care Act is essential. You should have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and experience in chairing meetings with clients, families, carers, and professionals. Building strong relationships with partner agencies and the community is vital.
You will also need:
* Evidence of ongoing professional development and adherence to current standards.
* Understanding of the financial aspects of care packages.
* Decision-making skills and risk management capabilities.
This role involves travel around Essex and beyond. A driving license and access to a vehicle, or alternative mobility solutions, are required.
