Academics are working with an inclusive, well-respected school based in Chelmsford, Essex. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint a dedicated and genuinely committed SEN Behaviour Mentor to join them from September on a long-term basis.
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Start: September
Salary: 88-100 per day
Contract: Long-term with the view of going permanent

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work with the school's pastoral manager to remove barriers to learning experienced by students with special educational needs. This will involve planned outreach in the classroom and leading intervention programmes in the inclusion area. Effective communication with parents/carers/staff and other relevant professionals is an essential part of this role.

* Have good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE literacy and numeracy grades A-C

* To ensure all pupils are supported to achieve their unique potential personally and academically
* To work as part of both the SEND team and a curriculum area to remove barriers to learning for individual pupils
* To ensure pupils have the best opportunity to make progress across all areas of the curriculum
