The Opportunity:

Car Planet, one of the UK's fastest-growing car retailers with over 1500 vehicles in stock, is seeking an experienced Automotive Workshop Controller. This role is perfect for those with a background in independent garages or car supermarket workshop management, who understand the balance between efficiency and quality.

As a Workshop Controller, you will report directly to the Workshop Manager and work closely under their guidance, helping lead a team of technicians in our service centre, overseeing a variety of tasks including mechanical work, diagnostics, servicing, and tyre maintenance. We value a pragmatic approach, focusing on what's essential for the car and beneficial for our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and monitor targets and KPIs for our team of technicians
* Maintain high standards of quality control
* Develop a strong team of technicians and implement training programs for junior members
* Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations at all times
* Oversee aftersales issues and manage our aftersales specialist
