Weighbridge Operative
Salary: £13 per hour
Hours: 19 hours per week, Thursday – Friday (0645 0 1630) plus every other Saturday.

As a Weighbridge Operative at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site. You’ll be responsible for operating the weighbridge, managing waste documentation, and providing a professional and helpful service to customers and drivers, while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
This vacancy is for a Part-time position, working 2 days per week plus every other Saturday.

What will you be doing?
•Operating the weighbridge system, booking vehicles in and out of site
•Maintaining accurate records in line with Duty of Care and waste management requirements
•Ensuring waste transfer notes remain in date and are correctly archived
•Inducting visiting drivers and keeping appropriate records
•Providing a courteous, helpful and efficient service to customers, drivers and subcontractors
•Keeping the weighbridge office and surrounding area clean and tidy
•Logging and managing soil samples where required
•Working safely at all times and reporting accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions
•Supporting the Site Supervisor and wider site team with day-to-day operations
•Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required, including supporting other sites if needed
