About The Role
We are looking for a confident and skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. Our objective is to deliver a first-class financial service to services/departments throughout the Trust, with a view to ensuring excellence in terms of service delivery and value for money.
Reporting to the Principal Accountant, your role will consist of working with Managers and budget holders to manage budgets and maintain forecasts, to provide timely financial information and advice to support services in achieving their objectives, to support the Finance Team and promote the delivery of an excellent service to customers.
If you are an AAT qualified and/or part qualified Accountant with experience of working in Local Government and a proactive mindset, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing a comprehensive, professional financial support service to service customers.
* To undertake complex pieces of accountancy work and to support and advise services in achieving their objectives.
* To develop good working relationships with colleagues to support the delivery of financial services and showing at all times professionalism and respect.
* Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions.
About You
You will be AAT qualified (or hold an equivalent qualification) and with experience of business partnering and stakeholder engagement, you will have relevant experience in a financial management environment and knowledge of the current and emerging Government legislation & statutory regulations and other key operational initiatives and directives affecting the public sector. Strong interpersonal skills are also a requirement for this role.
