You will be working across one or more practices within the PCN, carrying out tasks such as seeing patients face-to-face, completing telephone consultations, and Home Visits. You will also be required to make referrals for patients as appropriate, process Prescription requests, and review lab reports. You will work alongside the practice GPs and staff towards the QOF, DES, and Primary Care Offer targets.
You will undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
You will make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the practice or external organizations.
You will assess the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
You will work alongside the Practice and PCN staff to support the achievement of the QOF indicators, ensuring that all data is recorded appropriately.

You will compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions using ESP, avoiding physical or handwritten prescriptions whenever possible.
You will prescribe in accordance with the accepted prescribing formulary or generically whenever clinically appropriate.
In general, you will undertake all duties associated with a GP working within primary care, as set by relevant professional and regulatory bodies.
Requirements include experience within the NHS, good IT skills, excellent time management, ability to use initiative and judgment, interest in quality improvement, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional requirements include being eligible to work in the UK, being a newly qualified GP (no more than 2 years qualified), having full GMC registration, and being included on a Medical Performers list or eligible.
