Job summary
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a committed, dynamic, and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Consultant to join our friendly, cohesive, and ACSA-accredited team for a fixed-term locum post for 12 months.
The successful applicant will join a large team of 26 Consultants Anaesthetists at Warwick Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Direct clinical care includes all clinical and associated activities, such as pre- and post-operative care and communication. Job plans may vary between consultants, but parity will be maintained by ensuring a balanced plan for each. This approach allows flexibility for continuity of care and cross-cover of sessions. The actual programmed activities will be monitored periodically using a work diary during job plan reviews.

Job responsibilities
This proposed 10 PA post will follow an 8-week cycle, with some weeks having more DCC sessions than others. It is remunerated at 9 DCC programmed activities plus 1 SPA per week.
Person Specification
Academic Achievement (Essential): Evidence of sustained participation in audit.
Desirable: Authoring original publications.
