Our client secondary schools located in the South Manchester areas of Didsbury, Wythenshawe and Cheadle are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Sports Graduates / PE Specialists to work as Cover Supervisors. These roles are ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in education, particularly those considering a future in teaching.
The successful Cover Supervisor will be required to support students across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on PE and active engagement. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing behaviour, and ensuring students remain on task.
This role is available on a flexible supply basis with the opportunity to progress into longer-term placements or even a school-based contract depending on performance and school requirements.
Key Aspects of the Role:
* Full-time or part-time Cover Supervisor positions available
* Delivering lessons and supervising students across KS3 and KS4
* Supporting PE departments and leading physical activities where required
* Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
* Working in a range of secondary schools across Didsbury, Wythenshawe and Cheadle
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education or a related subject
* Previous experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, mentoring, youth work)
* Confident, adaptable and motivated to succeed in a school setting
* Interested in pursuing a career in teaching or education
