We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a busy construction project. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all setting out and engineering works are carried out accurately and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out and checking M&E grid lines across the project
* Overseeing and verifying steelwork installation to ensure accuracy and compliance with drawings
* Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality and safety standards
* Carrying out site surveys, measurements, and quality checks
* Coordinating with subcontractors, site management, and design teams
* Identifying and resolving any engineering or technical issues on site
* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to senior management
* Ensuring all work is delivered in line with project deadlines and specifications
Key Skills
* Strong understanding of setting out and site engineering principles
* Experience working with M&E grid lines and structural steelwork
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Strong communication and coordination abilities
* Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and engineering software
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on construction projects
* Relevant engineering or construction qualification
* CSCS card required
* SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial
* Experience within commercial, industrial, or large‑scale construction projects preferred
