Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Oxfordshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Oxfordshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout each placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, using a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to significantly improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Supporting children referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional development
* Delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to meet individual needs
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning engaging and tailored sessions
* Delivering holistic support to meet educational and social-emotional needs
* Completing lesson reports and providing progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding protocols
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK

Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Paid via PAYE, with no set hours or expenses covered
* Insurance provided; this is not a self-employed role
