With a new permanent leadership team in place and great progress already made, there are still mountains to climb. That's why we're looking for an extraordinary Director of Adult Social Care to join us for what will undoubtedly be the biggest and most rewarding challenge of their career. What you’ll be doing: Leading a team of 190 staff with a £41m budget, you'll be at the heart of our new offer to communities. Reporting to our Executive Director (recently promoted from within), you'll drive innovation and new ways of working with a forensic focus on best value, while ensuring front-line practice remains consistently strong and service user-centred. What you’ll have: Essential experience: Transformational Leadership: Proven track record of leading change within adult social care and at organisational level Strategic Financial Management: Experience managing finance, risk and performance in demand-led, resource-constrained services Partnership Excellence: Multi-agency working experience with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills You'll be a registered social worker with expert knowledge of Care Act legislation and CQC standards, plus the authentic leadership style needed during challenging times. Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director. Alongside a competitive salary, we provide: 26 days annual leave (not including Bank holidays), rising to 30 days between 2 - 5 years’ service and 33 days after 5 years’ service.
