We are looking for an experienced Technician - Alloy Wheel Repair to take the reins of our mobile alloy wheel repair business – Wheel Wizard. You will be based at our Wincanton branch, travelling to our other dealerships across Somerset, Dorset & Wiltshire, as well as to trade and retail customers.

About the Role
As a Technician - Alloy Wheel Repair, you will play a key part in enhancing the appearance and performance of both customer and stock vehicles. You’ll be responsible for the repair and refurbishment of alloy wheels, ensuring every job is completed to factory standards. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with technical expertise and a passion for high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
In this role as a Technician - Alloy Wheel Repair, your duties may include:

Conducting thorough inspections of alloy wheels to identify scratches, dents, or damage.

Providing accurate assessments and repair estimates.
*
Executing precision alloy wheel repairs, including straightening, sanding, lathe work, and painting.
*
Using industry-standard equipment and techniques to achieve premium finishes.
*
Colour matching to manufacturer standards for a flawless result.
*
Performing quality checks to ensure customer satisfaction and company standards.
*
Maintaining detailed records with before-and-after documentation.
*
Communicating with customers, explaining processes, and providing transparent quotes.
*
Supporting other departments and contributing positively to team culture.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Proven experience as a Technician - Alloy Wheel Repair or in a similar vehicle finishing or paint repair role.
*
Skilled in alloy wheel repair techniques including straightening, refinishing, and paint application.
*
Excellent colour-matching and paintwork precision.
*
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
*
Great communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
*
Capable of managing workloads independently and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Key Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
Previous experience in alloy wheel repair or refinishing.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to learn and use computer-based systems.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and professional.

Salary: Competitive, DOE
Working Pattern:
Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Saturday overtime available depending on business requirements
