This role involves learning how to perform day to day upkeep, maintenance and support of new pilot plant work in a growing company. Training to be provided: As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with LevertonHELM, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. Your Level 3 programme will include, a level 3 Engineering work-based qualification delivered by PETA, and day release for 24 months to complete a level 3 BTEC technical certificate. Overall duration 48 months. About the role: Joining the LevertonHELM as a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, your role will be focused on supporting the production team. This is a hands-on role and you will be involved in spending time around all plant, covering long distances, climbing ladders, working at heights and accessing confined spaces. You will have a wide variety of responsibilities, as part of the role you will: Assist the Engineering Manager and Chemical Engineers with new engineering/mechanical developments and implementation including production methods, process flow, selection of machinery, equipment, components, fabrication and tooling Be responsible for preventative, reactive and scheduled maintenance regimes of plant equipment Assist/lead on new engineering/mechanical projects including new installations, modifications to existing plant/processes Assist the Production Manager in the efficient and safe operation of the production plant and equipment, including production process troubleshooting Maintain stock of components, fittings, spares, fasteners and liaise with the suppliers in order to obtain these Prioritize health & safety and risk assessments What are the career prospects at LevertonHELM?
