X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading company looking for a skilled Application Developer to join their team on a contract basis.
In this role, you would join the agile IT team, supporting critical applications used in energy trading and asset management operations. You’d be working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the development and integration of solutions that support renewable energy trading, financial analytics, and risk management.
Responsibilities of the Contract Application Developer (Java, Typescript, Endur)
* Develop, enhance and maintain applications using Java and TypeScript.
* Customise and support Endur (Openlink), including JVS and AVS scripting.
* Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers in an agile setting.
* Implement APIs and services for internal and external data integrations.
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support and resolution.
* Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure software quality through unit testing, automation, and documentation.
Requirements of the Contract Application Developer (Java, Typescript, Endur):
* Proven experience in Java development (Spring Boot, REST APIs).
* Solid front-end experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular or React).
* Hands-on experience with Endur (Openlink), including JVS and AVS scripting.
* Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server or Oracle.
* Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
The contract is for an initial 6 months with strong extension potential. The rate is £500-600/d inside IR35.
