Our stunning new home Grappenhall Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built 70 bed care facility and is situated in Warrington, Cheshire. The home which opened April‘23 will provide the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to residents who have a variety of care needs. We offer residential, nursing and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology, and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion, they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. New Care has had no agency staff use for over 5 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid national minimum wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring and enthusiastic Care Assistants to join our team on days. You will deliver quality of care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans. You will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Care Home. We have full time contracts available with an excellent hourly rate of £12.25, paid for all staff regardless of their age! Shift times are 0745 - 2000 with paid handover.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To deliver “hands on” care to residents in a person centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
5. ·Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake tasks delegated to you efficiently and effectively.
7. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and experience required:
8. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable
9. Care certificate of equivalent or a willingness to achieve this in the first 12 months of
10. employment
11. Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people
12. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the
13. delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
14. Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
15. Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
