We are positioned to become a world leader in SMRs and the UK’s premier green export capability.**The Team**The Sites & Civils Engineering team provides the foundation for our future power station fleet, delivering innovative, safe and fully integrated engineering solutions. We set technical direction across ground engineering, infrastructure design and site‐specific programmes, shaping how our technology becomes a reality at sites across the UK and internationally.**Summary**In this context, we are seeking a **Head of Sites & Civils** to lead multiple specialist engineering teams and oversee delivery of key civil and site‐specific designs. This senior leadership role will define strategy, strengthen technical governance and ensure robust, safe and fully integrated engineering solutions across our programmes.**Key Responsibilities**We’ll need you to:* Leading strategy, technical direction and governance across ground engineering, infrastructure design, site programmes and requirements.* Driving high‐quality, safe, compliant civil engineering solutions across the full design lifecycle.* Building capability, developing leaders and strengthening resilience within a large multidisciplinary function.* Managing supply‐chain design delivery, ensuring performance, integration and effective issue resolution.As you can see, this is a pivotal, high‐profile leadership role at the heart of our engineering organisation, and you’ll bring strategic influence, first‐class communication skills and a collaborative mindset, as well as:**Essential Skills / Qualifications*** A degree (or equivalent experience) in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical or a related engineering discipline.* Extensive experience delivering civil engineering solutions across the full design lifecycle on nuclear or major infrastructure programmes.* Proven senior leadership of large technical teams in complex, ambiguous environments.* We’ll ask about your experience influencing across functions, shaping strategic technical direction and developing strong client relationships.**Location**We offer hybrid working, with regular attendance expected at our offices, alongside travel to partner or project sites as required.**What’s in it for me*** We anticipate paying a salary in the range of £85,600 to £108,400* Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 30%* Benefits Allowance – £8,500 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchasesYou’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation.
