What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer
* Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
* Carrying out health and safety audits to ensure issues are corrected.
* Assessing and reporting on construction phase progress, rectifying issues, and leading escalation processes. Ensuring all non-conformance is identified and corrected.
* Managing, identifying, and resolving snags, liaising with operators and contractors post-takeover to handle defects, aftercare, and performance testing.
* Monitoring, agreeing on, and approving takeover tests with the project team.
* Ensuring project documentation meets specifications and is approved for takeover.
* Actively working as part of project teams with contractors.
Work is hybrid at Maple Lodge, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days a week, Monday to Friday, 36 hours/week. The candidate must drive and have a car, with a £4,500 annual car allowance.
What you should bring to the role
* HNC or above in engineering or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites; SMSTS qualification can be provided if not held.
* Understanding of design, construction, and operations in wastewater or related sectors.
* Experience in project delivery within construction.
* Confidence in stakeholder communication.
