The Opportunity

In both client-facing and internal roles, we deliver major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We aim to deliver safe, high-quality, and timely solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Reporting to the Site Delivery Lead, you will support the overarching direction and leadership of activities associated with the full lifecycle delivery of the Temporary Construction Area sub-programme. You will lead/manage a team of Senior Project Managers and Managers, ensuring delivery of Earthworks, Enabling works (including UXO, ecology, archaeology), Civils, Networks, and Buildings. This role involves managing a matrix team of disciplines, including the nuclear new build supply chain, quality teams, and suppliers.

This role will also assist the Site Delivery Lead in developing strategies for delivering scope to cost, schedule, and quality. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities in line with the overall project schedule.

Key responsibilities will be:
* Define work scope with project teams and manage interfaces within the programme.
* Secure resources with the Site Delivery Lead, maintaining SQEP and addressing personnel issues.
* Provide direction to ensure effective execution of strategies and plans in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
* Maintain effective stakeholder communication and execute project strategies.
* Drive contract or package activity delivery, monitor progress, and report to the Site Delivery Leadership team.
* Identify risks, resolve issues, and update programmes and budgets accordingly.
* Develop and maintain schedules, escalate discrepancies, and ensure delivery of scope.
* Apply Continuous Improvement principles and incorporate lessons learned.
* Coordinate with other programmes for best practice sharing.
* Fulfill contractual requirements and establish effective working relationships.
Qualifications
* Proven track record in delivering projects in complex, regulated environments like Nuclear Energy.
* Experience engaging stakeholders and managing contractors, consultants, and advisors.
* Strong skills in project management, financial management, change facilitation, and use of scheduling and risk tools.
* Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts, EPR design, and CDM Regulations.
* Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or related field.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies such as APM and Prince2.
